Christmas menu 2017

 

Dear Christmas party organiser

Our Christmas menu will be available for lunch & dinner parties from the 1st December until the 23rd December.
Should you wish to make a booking please be advised of a £10.00 per head deposit payable at least 7 days in advance of your chosen date. The deposit should be paid in cash or cheque only please. (Cheques made payable to ‘da Lucio’) A service charge of 10% will be added to the final bill for parties of 5 or more.
We would also appreciate if you could distribute the menu amongst the party goers so that they may make their selections for the main course & dessert prior to the party date and let us know at least 48 hours in advance. This will help us to ensure the smooth running of your party.

To start - da Lucio Christmas mixed starters for everyone to share

Antipasto misto - Parma ham, Napoli salami & coppa, fresh buffalo mozzarella & basil pesto, marinated olives, sundried tomatoes & artichokes

Mixed bruschetta - classic tomato, olive oil, garlic & basil / mascarpone cheese, smoked salmon & chives

Fritto misto - crispy fried calamari, whitebait & zucchini served with tartare sauce & lemon

Pane all'aglio - homemade freshly baked garlic pizza bread

Main course

Pollo tirolese - supreme of chicken stuffed with Speck mountain ham & taleggio cheese, herb & potato mille foglie, french beans, red wine gravy

Filetto di maiale - Fillet of pork wrapped in pancetta & rosemary, olive oil mashed potatoes, garlic broccoli, red wine gravy

Filetto di merluzzo 'Miraglia' - pan roasted loin of cod, mussels, clams & prawns in a light tomato sauce, boiled garlic & parsley potatoes, fresh spinach

Fiocchi formaggio e pere- pasta parcels filled with cheese & pears in a creamy taleggio sauce, balsamic glaze

 

Dessert -

Pecan pie - shortcrust pastry filled with pecan nuts & treacle served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream 

Tiramisu - homemade layers of sponge biscuits soaked in coffee & liqueur layered with Mascarpone cream

Gelato artigianale - 2 scoops of delicious Italian ice cream - choose from Italian vanilla, fresh fruity strawberry, rich & dark chocolate, cappuccino coffee

Selection of Italian cheeses - creamy gorgonzola, taleggio & peppered pecorino, walnuts, honey & home baked bread
